DIN 71802 angled ball joints consist of a ball socket DIN71805 and a ball stud DIN71803 with a rivet pin.

The standard delivery of the angle joints DIN 71802 made of carbon steel is without heat treatment. If higher strength is required, heat treatment angle joints can be ordered on request.
The tensile strength as below after heat treatment
• Ball socket: carbon steel, min. tensile strength Rm = 500 N/mm²
• Ball stud: carbon steel, min. tensile strength Rm = 600 N/mm², ball induction hardened on the surface with a ≥ 52 HRC hardness
The load values requested for the extraction and insertion of the ball stud from/to the ball socket’s housing with the mounted “R” spring, with the joint free from grease, are indicated in the following table:

In the male-female coupling (with grease), the male in a horizontal position falls with a force F applied to the extremity of the male thread (see diagram), according to the table below:
